February 2009 roundup
One more great month has gone by. This one was short so there might not have been as much news as it was the case in the “rocket-charged” January. As the visitors of this website and other similar communities all around the world continued discovering The Empyren; this month was marked by, sadly, no new posts on John’s blog (for everyone who asked: honestly, I can’t give you any information, as I’ve got no clue about it). On the other side, a great movie and a great collaboration saw the light of the day: Ryan Page and Christopher Pomerenke’s documentary The Heart Is A Drum Machine was premiered in Phoenix and received great reviews; and The Spirit Of Apollo an album made possible by Squeak E. Clean and DJ Zegon’s project N.A.S.A – a gigantic collaboration of most versatile and unexpected musicians of the western hemisphere is – in stores and available online. Both of these are receiving great reviews in media; and John’s participation in the projects received ovations in the first and two thumbs up in the second case.
Amongst us on Invisible Movement and YFIGTASOF there was Super-Secret project 2009, too. If you’re amongst people who applied and have not sent their work back to me yet, just a reminder that you have until 03rd March to do it. Any time on that day, in whatever time zone you’re in, really. Just send it over and don’t worry about it being good or not – there’s got to be something good about it.
So, here’s what marked February 2009!

Saturday random questions
SRQ #1 – How would you direct a music video for one of John’s songs off The Empyrean?
SRQ #2 – Animals and music.
SRQ #3 – Do music genres matter to you at all?.
SRQ #4 – Pick four!
This little weekly Q&A for site visitors was born completely spontaneously on 09th February. It’s an Aquarius and therefore it’s eccentric, bossy and it might not always make sense; but you guys seem to like it. If you would like your question to be asked in March, feel free to drop me a line. Just remember that the question should be at least remotely related to this website and the topics it covers. And, just like for wallpaper wishes, please, if I can put that bluntly, no weird shit.
Site and offsite changes
Once again, the URI of the main Invisible Movement news feed has changed and you can now find it at http://feeds2.feedburner.com/invisible-movement.
Invisible Movement and Your Forum Is Glued To A Site On Fire now have a new group on Last.fm, please do join. The old group will be closed once everyone’s migrated to the new one.
I’ve noticed that more and more people have been adding Invisible Movement to Twitter. Twitter is, like, the new little black dress / new chocolate / new football of the web; so you might want to check it out and sign up and follow Invisible Movement. If your mobile phone carrier supports it, you can get a SMS when the site is updated, even.
Lost? Been away for a while?
In case you missed the January roundup, you can find it here.
In case you’d rather shuffle through all the news posted in February yourself, start here. And don’t be confused because this news will be on top of the list.
So, time for you to do something, too!
Be good. Help children in the countries destroyed by war by getting the Heroes album. If you have ever been in a war at young age, I’m sure you will understand the cause. If you have not, consider yourself lucky – much luckier than you think you think you are. War Child have asked me to pass this news on and I think it’s worth your attention (as well as everybody else’s attention).
And don’t forget other good causes mentioned one month ago! Make someone else happy!
