Site updates

  • Site updates, 18th February 2008

The updates for the week are here. As it’s the practice in the most of cases, here’s a short summary and, for everything else, continue reading. One new set of magazine scans Two new random cuttings One-year-worth of press photos One magazine article One interview transcript Three album reviews One audio interview One cover song from 1998 Two new video clips Magazine scans Guitar World, July 2006 – as some people requested so, I have added the other article from this magazine, the one where Flea is talking about the history of RHCP (and says many nice things about John as well). The names of other files have changed to…

  • Regarding your FTP troubles

For everyone who had trouble understanding how to download the DVD of RHCP’s performance at Green Fest when I announced it in the previous news item I’ve just written a handy billingual tutorial on how to do it, step by step. Click here to read it. Given that the most of Invisible Movement visitors are from English speaking countries and the Balkans, this should clear most people’s doubts. If you still have questions after having read the tutorial, do ask in comments to this news item. If it still doesn’t work after all this, perhaps your internet service provider has disabled use of FTP (which is common for some work…

  • Site updates, 12th February 2008

The updates for the week are here. As it’s the practice in the most of cases, here’s a short summary and, for everything else, continue reading. Regarding video clips I’d promised: they’ll be up by the end of the working week. Four new magazine scans: one from 2000, one from 2005, two from 2004 13 new random pics from various years and one missing scan bit One new set of screencaps One new magazine article Magazine scans Rolling Stone, 27th April 2000 – thanks to Marian Tribe, March 2004 Wom, July 2004 – both thanks to Giz Total Guitar, Hero Worship Explosion – put in 2005 section, but in case…

  • Site updates, 04th February 2008

Yup, it happens to be wee morning hours of Tuesday instead of a Sunday afternoon, at least in the timezone where, according to Alexa, the most of I-M.net’s readers are. The reasons were elections, waiting for the main thing for this update (I’m not telling you which is the main thing here, you will have to take a wild guess…) and such. But here it is, here it is. Also, sixth version of the site is on the way. I am not exactly sure when it will be up, but I’m sure that it’s NOT going to support 800×600 screen resolution and that some things will be clearer. So, expect…

  • Site updates, 20th January 2008

This week’s update is pretty much homogenic, as it contains only of scanned magazines. But there’s ten of them! Guitar Part, August 2007 Guitar Part, October 2006 Gitarzysta, September 2006 Gitarzysta, July 2006 Guitar Part, June 2006 Tribune de Geneve, 25th April 2006 Guitar Xtreme, July and August 2004 Rock Mag, March 2004 Lolie, May 2003 Mean Street, July 2002 The above was, believe it or not, not collected by one of the two usual suspects when it comes to the ancient discipline of magazine hunting (and also the ancient discipline of staying up until five in the morning, but that is yet a different story)…so, many thanks to amazing,…

  • Site updates, 15th January 2008

I’m sorry for the downtime on Sunday and bandwidth problem on Monday; the hosting company was upgrading some things and I believe there was an issue with the bandwidth measuring device, but I’m not 100% sure. Also, I have been told that the better versions of Green Fest clips are out of synch (thank you, Veljko Simović!); so expect those to be updated soon. Not today though, as both that and the playlist are delayed due to the yesterday’s bandwidth screwup and my work obligations for this day. Thanks for your understanding, the playlist with some of your wishes on it is due sometime tomorrow and the videos are due…

  • Site updates, 07th January 2008

…on a Monday. First of all, all the Green Fest videos have been re-uploaded, with the highest possible bitrate a .wmv file could have (2.1 Mbps) and in 640×480 resolution; so feel free to re-download them if you like it big. The links for iPod-complatible files have been fixed, thanks to Richard and Steven who pointed me out there were mistakes with some of them. If you’re having problems with videos and if they do not download completely, that is because the server is sometimes moody, I’d advice you to use something that can resume a download and download only one file at one time. That gives everyone equal chance…

  • Site updates, 31st December 2007

It’s snowing and it’s 31st December, the last day of the year. The next time I do one of these, we will be in 2008, so we’re leaving 2007 behind now and how about leaving it with a large update whenever possible? Sounds good to me. Happy New year! Magazine articles from 1989 and 2001 Three new video clips, which were on the week before last week’s playlist Three more covers in the audio archive Five new albums of screencaps/stills A rare magazine scan from 1997 Three new covers in audio section Seven new video files: four interview clips and three live solo songs An update on two most recent…

  • Site updates, 23rd December 2007

The once-again-too-cluttered and once-again-too-huge list of the weekly updates on the site contains: Three more languages for the GLOBAL action One more 2007 live photography album Scans of three magazines, one of them with some extras Some other unsorted magazine cuttings One more set of screencaps Two more traditional art pieces and six more wallpapers submitted by site visitors Two more articles and one album review translated from Dutch Some site-related tweaks’n’bits Next major update (I will say which one’s major, mmmkay?) will contain some special surprises to keep you going for the upcoming four weeks and a bit more. That’s a hint, yes. More GLOBAL action submissions! Many thanks…

  • Site updates, 05th December 2007

There have been updates to almost all sections to the site, but I split it all in two, as it’s huge. There will be more, but before you ask for something, think of how it feels to be promotion a huge company for winter holidays and do all of their online marketing and you’ll get how good my concentration is at the moment. Oh, by the way, that also means I might be making errors here and do report them if you see them! And since this update looked huge and ugly when I previewed it, please click the link below to see it. Before you do so, a sneak…
