Site updates

  • Site updates, 02nd November 2008

First of all, I’m glad to inform all of you that the GLOBAL project is getting bigger and bigger. This time, it expanded to two new languages, one of which is claimed to be the most complicated language in the world. And, there’s the original Singhalese script added to the Singhalese translation, and the third version of the Spanish translation. Second of all, there are some nice things from 2004 waiting to be added to the site, but they’ll be in the queue for a bit longer. Time is pretty hard to get hold on. Also, if you have sent one of the current update’s contents and have not gotten…

  • Site updates – 19th October 2008

It’s been a while. In case you didn’t notice the previous years’ fashion, October is quite a busy month with a quite low update frequency compared to the rest of the year. However, people craving more regular site updates have not been forgotten and this update is a proof of that. I have some 400 messages in need of reply in my inbox, half of which are from this website’s visitors. With another really busy week ahead, please do give me some time to get back to you all. Also, there are some things that did not make it to the site for this update so, if you sent something,…

  • Site updates, 28h September 2008

As I have said, the next update won’t be that far away. These things were half-done when I’d posted the previous update and I thought it wouldn’t be fair to keep you people wait for THAT long. By any means, enjoy. This is the update-before-something-as-big-as-a-smaller-country. The old mp3 player is back after a short break Transcript of the Indie 103.1 interview An open call for people who’d like to transcribe other audio interviews One more translation for the GLOBAL project – Singhalese! Vegas ’05 videos are back. One new set of magazine scans from 1992 One more set of live photos from 2007 An update to one of the most…

  • Site updates, 24th September 2008

First of all, I would like to thank you everyone who’s commented on the new site layout. Thank you, everyone, so very much! The roses aren’t blossoming at my day jobs these days and it’s very uplifting, motivating and beautiful to see that someone still likes what I’m creating. As a professional web/graphic designer and somewhat of a web developer, I really am happy to have received such positive feedback from Invisible Movement readers. Thank you, thank you, thank you! ^_^ For everyone who asked: the gear & tabs page and gigography are being built and they’re quite demanding to work on; so many thanks to people who are already…

  • Troubadour Jam short videos, one in HQ & more photos

Apparently, the fun never ends in the case of the 05th September Troubadour jam. Here’s one more set of photos, taken by Maryam. Click on the first thumbnail or here to see all the images. 87211872738727687212 There’s also a video she took. It’s not much longer than previously posted videos, but it’s of high quality, so I’m definitely encouraging you to download it after watching it, though it’s a bit big in size when one takes its length into consideration. [MEDIA=180] You can download the .avi file by right-clicking here and picking save target as / save link as. It was downloaded times so far. Soon, a page will be…

  • Invisible-Movement.net v.6.0: TenTwenty

So, the time has come, 09:09 on 09.09. Looking at how Invisible Movement started off four years ago before it was even public; I thought of four possible dates to launch the sixth version of the site. This day won the poll in my mind as the other three days – 29th November, 08th March and 12th October – are too far away from now and, at this pace, none of them meets one of the four ideas behind the site layout. So, yup, even though a part of me wanted to delay this launch for some other day, the new Invisible Movement layout is seeing the light of the…

  • Video clip, more photos and reviews!

The gallery was updated again. The first album from the 05th September show now has four more photos. Many thanks to Katie for these and for the fastest-ever update in this website history. The second update would be a set of photos from the same show taken by Lauren Harrity and you can find it here. The quality of these photos isn’t something you’d usually expect to see here, but with the light and the movements captured in them, they look somewhat special. Perhaps you’ll agree, perhaps you won’t. And this really short video was taken by Luis Garcia, the same wonderful person who took the photos that, according to…

  • More photos and a review from the 05th September improvisation

Two more sets of photographs and one review of the Troubadour improvisation have been added to the site. Please, click on the thumbnails to see the full albums. The second one is the work of Tony Kandalaft and the first one of Tara. 87094 87165 And here is Tara’s review* of that great night! *Will be on the gigography page once it’s up again. I got there a little after 8pm. stood around for about 45 min, then the Warpaint girls came in and were talking to fans and friends, followed by John and then Josh… they all went upstairs to get ready and settled. The first band WEAVE! came…

  • Site updates, 02nd September 2008

Before you can see the update… …if the most of subpages suddenly look like a sight of a major earthquake, if random pages disappeared or if they were suddenly password-protected when you accessed them (e.g. discography page which is under maintenance); I apologise. I’m experimenting with something and once it is done, everything will look normal. And that will be soon. Until then, I’m doing all that’s in my power to make them accessible. It will all be fixed within a week…and not just that, you’ll see. OK, now you can see the update. The most beautiful offstage photo from 1999, EVER Two sets of magazine scans from 2006 An…

  • Site updates, 25th August 2008

This site update is like Sachertorte: in certain situations and circumstances, a bit too much. And while I’m 100% certain that it won’t make you fat, I would like to believe that it’ll make you, or at least some of you, hyper. Maybe because I’m lethargic by nature and I wish I were hyper. Enjoy! Also: the competition voting is delayed a bit more, for unexpected reasons of financial nature. All the competitors will be emailed once it finally takes place, so there’s no need to worry. Technically, the voting can take place as well as announcing the winners; but I am currently not able to send out the prizes.…
