April 2009 roundup
April 2009 is over. Its highlight sadly turned out to be something that, in the end, did not happen – Speed Dealer Moms’ performance at the Bang Face Weekender in Camber Sands. However, the kindness of the festival organisators was mindblowing and they offered to let us all know as soon as the event has been rescheduled. On the other side, kindness of Invisible Movement’s “reporters” from the location was mindblowing as well. There was even one person who’s actually not a listener of John’s music, but rather a Venetian Snares’ listener who was interested to see how all of this would work out. The others, of course, were a bunch of usual suspects who spent their precious SMS credit and, in one case, their precious 3G credit, just to be helpful to others and if there was actually something to share from the event – they would have shared it. So, please, give them a thank you by commenting on this post, they deserve it.
Also, on a milestone note, the site has scarily gone from one million to one million and a half unique visitors in a little less than six months and hit that number one day after its fifth nameday/creation day. I think that’s frightening. If you, however, ask some optimist about it, perhaps they’d tell you it’s good.
On the other side, this month, especially the last week, was also marked by some incredibly inconsiderate people; who have about as much empathy as a by-pass. Once again, I would like to explain that, even though I would LOVE to get back at everyone’s questions, requests, ideas et cetera as soon as you want; it’s often impossible. For everyone who understands, much love. For those who don’t get it, well…it’s your shame.

Think of other people’s feelings. People you meet might be fighting great battles. I’m serious.
